The Chromecast and HDMI streaming friends are all Wi-Fi only which means a lackluster Wi-Fi signal is the outright death of them. You can try to remove the Google cast extension, then add it again. I can cast Rdio and listen just fine, but as soon as I change to another service (Netflix, YouTube, etc), the audio is lost.

I have been using Popcorn time for years and now I can get no sound just video out. If I screen cast/miracast I have audio/video. That being said, a week ago VLC no longer sent sound to the Chromecast 2 that I am using, sound is still fine with Youtube etc. Windows 10 64 bit. I had some trouble getting the laptop sound muted so I wasn't hearing speakers playing the music along with the speakers that the chromecast is attached to. im currently trying this new chromecast feature out, been a old user for your service quite some time, i usually dont complain (its free, so i cant allow myself).
